This is a recent shoot that I was asked to style the hair for. The theme was Topshop prom. After doing various research on current prom hairstyles, I tried to take inspiration and create my own unique hairstyles. I used headbands, head pieces and hair jewellery to style the hair. I wanted the inspiration was to take current hair trends and incorporate them into prom hairstyles that would suit Topshop's formal style. For the first hairstyle, I used a donut and wrapped her hair around the bun, using a golden metal leaf headband to decorate the top. For the second hairstyle, using Iggy Azeleas hair as inspiration, I slicked back her hair into a tight ponytail, I then used a bow hairpiece to clip on top to give her a cute yet current hair look. For the third and fourth look, I used wavers to curl the hair. In my research, I found that plaits are coming into fashion this summer. I gave them a wavy hair look that would look effortless but suitable for occasions such as prom.
